New History Unfolds MSU-Buug College
A new history unfolds for Mindanao State University. After more than twenty years of complacency, the school constituents were awakened by the coming of a messiah. The flicking fire of hope and the waning enthusiasm of the employees and students were rekindled as the new administrator, Sultan Taha G. Sarip, took-over the school management on that auspicious August morning of the year 2006. The turning - over program was a simple ceremony punctuated with short speeches, but it marked the turning point of the school’s history. Its significance was so heart-warming, so promising and so inspiring. The new administratorbrought the spirit that breathe forth revival of hope, courage, vigor and optimism among the constituents. There were some unexpressed skepticisms in the beginning, but these were overshadowed with brighter expectations. Although there was no spectacular display of welcome, no yellow ribbons on the trees, no reverberation of drums on his arrival, yet what was in the hearts of everyone was a welcome that could not be expressed in words, a silent welcome that spelled JOY, TRUST, COMMARADERIE, COOPERATION and HOPE.
